Popular internet TV show host, Danny Trachtenberg of The Totally Rad Show just wrapped up an epic short film for BlackBoxTV, which is a weekly Twilight Zone-like series on Youtube.
Tapping into his years of expertise from directing commercials, Trachtenberg directed and co-wrote this sinister short film with his fellow writing partner, Mark Walker – a story which follows two paramedics who gets “more than they can chew” while responding to what seems like a regular 911 house call. Truthfully, I gotta say the twist ending really tripped me up and punched me hard in the gut(!) Going from the grim and bloodied remains strewn all across the house, I was dead sure that it was going to be JUST another zombie short film. Nice vampiric twist there folks! The strong scriptwriting from Trachtenberg and Walker, plus cinematogropher Benji Bakshi’s stark sunlit shots makes a simple 5-minute short film into an epic homage of the great Twilight Zone TV episodes from years past.
We’ll continue checking out BlackBoxTV’s awesome output and look forward to share with you any more goodies from the Trachtenberg+Walker writng team in the near future!
